The Thank-You Email (Send Same Day)

Send within 4 hours of the interview. Personalize it with something specific from the conversation.
The Check-In Email (If You Have Not Heard Back)
Wait the full timeline they gave you, plus 2 business days. Then:

Timing Rules
- Thank-you email: Same day, within 4 hours
- First check-in: On the day after their stated timeline expires
- Second check-in: 5-7 business days after the first, only if no response
- After that: One final email, then move on. Do not become a pest.
What NOT to Do
- Do not call unless they invited phone contact
- Do not follow up on weekends or holidays
- Do not sound impatient or accusatory
- Do not send multiple emails in the same week
